TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT remofernandes Temporary Password: p@ssw0rd123 Tonight at midnight [IST], 8th May, I’m releasing a new album: a fresh re-recording of my very first, “GOAN CRAZY”, on its 30th Anniversary. The original was released in 1984. I’ve titled the new one “Still GOAN CRAZY 2014”. The original was recorded on a 4-track cassette Portastudio, which made a lot of track bouncing and locking a must, piling up the hiss and distortion. It was also my first attempt at multi-track recording, for which I had no education or training. The end result left me quite unhappy, and even though the album instantaneously became the highest selling Goan album ever, I’ve always dreamed of leaving those songs behind in better quality. I finally re-recorded them all, on clean unlimited digital tracks, but keeping faithfully to the original lyrics, music, arrangements, style, and even solos wherever possible. Tonight midnight also marks the Soft Opening of my new website remofernandes and its Online Store. We have been testing it out from different parts of the world, and everything works perfectly – the credit card payment gateway, as well as the delivery of the music through an instantaneous email with download links. However, a transaction could go wrong due to unforeseen and yet unknown teething problems. In such a case, if our HDFC Bank shows your payment has been received, and if our Website shows that the music has not been delivered to you, you will be sent the music directly.
