TONIGHT.... I clearly was impressed with the words A sacrifice, pleasing to God, is a broken spirit, You’ll not despise a humble heart, You will hold and heal it. I was sitting alone in a quiet room where in past years I have sat holding my own children and now grandchildren. I spoke of deep heart issues and longings I have to the One who hears and answers. I brutally examined my own heart, my fears, my shortcomings and my deepest desire to be fully immersed in wisdom and to have a greater understanding of the times and where I am in Gods plan as His friend and servant. I remembered a wonderful and soulful song by Margaret Becker where the words I had going through my heart and mind were identical. I clearly hear the Fathers heart speaking to His People that this, THIS - is what He is honoring in this hour. Not much else will move heaven and earth unless The Body of Christ has a New Heart - after His Heart. Pursuit of fame, fortune, favor with lofty men or women, intelligent prose or clever ministry quips to attract people only further repels the pure and true move of the Spirit. Take a moment...... Listen to this music and the words. Let it become the heart wrenching cry of the People of God. He is so strongly present when I listen to this song and when make the words my own. It is my prayer that the same will be for you. CREATE IN ME Margaret Becker David Edwards (CHORUS) Create in me a new heart after yours, After yours Create in me a new heart after yours After yours A sacrifice, pleasing to God Is a broken spirit You’ll not despise a humble heart You will hold and heal it Renew, restore, remember me my Lord (to chorus) Come purify and i will be clean Wash away all my shame Oh let me hear, gladness and joy, Let my mouth sing your praise Renew, restore, remember me my lord
