Doors 7:00 | Music 7:30 via Pioneer Press: Leo Kottke settled in the Twin Cities after being raised in 12 different states and busking his way across the country in his late teens. He recorded his first album live at a Minneapolis coffeehouse and released it in 1969 and then followed it with what would become his most enduring record, 6- and 12-String Guitar (known to fans as The Armadillo Album due to its cover art). Despite suffering partial hearing loss after a youthful mishap with a firecracker and enduring tendonitis and nerve damage in the 80s, Kottke has gone on to world renown since then, continuing to push boundaries with his unconventional guitar playing. The ever-charming British singer/songwriter Nellie McKay opens.
