TONIGHT is a fantastic night of acoustic music all round! In the main room we have 3 full performances from BETHAN AND THE MORGANS, SMALL CHANGES and OWD YER OSSIES. Only £4 on the door. BETHAN AND THE MORGANS Formed in August 2012, folk/country/pop band Bethan and the Morgans are a Midlands based band headed by Bethan Morgan on lead vocals and guitar with David Ross on lead guitar and backing vocals, Lauren Bennett on double bass and backing vocals, Jim Rhodes on electric guitar and Robert McIntosh on drums. Combining their folk/pop influences with original songwriting and rich three part harmony, Bethan and the Morgans create a diverse and exciting live sound. SMALL CHANGES Formed when former members of Midlands based pop-rock band The Valuable Fools, Alison Bann (vocals ,cello,percussion) and Mark Winters (vocals, guitar) teamed up with classical violinist and ex Northern Sky (Nick Drake tribute band) player Ursula Colville. The band do their own take on covers from pop to folk and throw in some originals written with their acoustic and strings line up in mind. OWD YER OSSIES The Queens English, up at the big house, might state Hold Ones Horses though round here its plain Owd Yer Ossies and thatll do for us. This little trio comprising Midlands hero Tony Portlock, with Becky Menear, the voice of an angel, and complimented by Matt Thorpe making good use of all the frets available, play a mixture of traditional, classic and contemporary folk tunes with some blues thrown in. Two voices and two guitars that will enthrall you. Also this evening is our acoustic open mic Live Lounge with our host Ian. Sign up from 7:30, the music starts at 8:30. Relaxed, intimate and fun, its a great way to showcase your songs in a stripped back acoustic style. FREE ENTRY into the lounge.
