Sir Anthony Chuks Obuh this morning formally declared his intention to run for the office of Governor of Delta state. The former Permanent Secretary, highly respected civil servant and policy maker declared before a mammoth crowd of politicians, traditional leaders, organized labour, students and civil servants in Asaba. Flanked by his wife and aides, Obuh said ” We are here to show our love to Delta state….One Delta One Destiny and One people. That is what we will continue to preach and this will remain our philosophy once we have the opportunity to serve in higher office… For 23 years we have had a state, Delta state and for the twenty 23 years we continued to witness progress in various sectors, particularly in the last seven and half years, we have noticed progress, development and growth in various aspects all anchored on the philosophy of Delta Beyond Oil. What I have seen has shown us that there are great opportunities open to us to grow. I am trained to serve, I am here to serve…” to cheers as he spoke about continuing with the Delta Beyond Oil policy to help keep Delta state on the path of Progress.
