TOP 10 WRESTLING VIDEO GAMES #9 WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth! The Smackdown series from THQ ran for many years. Though this title is significant because it was the first entry in the franchise under the WWE banner, but it also sounds like a line from Shaft. Lots of match variety in this one like Hell In A Cell, TLC, I Quit, Falls Count Anywhere, Royal Rumble, King Of The Ring Tournament, and even 3 Stages Of Hell. The roster is huge featuring stars of the era like The Rock, Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, a short-haired Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Tazz (I always hated that second Z), Maven, Rhyno, Rikish, Billy & Chuck and so many more. This game was the video game debut of rookies Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar. The season mode was probably the best part. It began with the WWE Draft with Vince McMahon controlling Smackdown and Nature Boy Ric Flair controlling Raw, as you picked your shows roster. It even featured the WWE debut of the n.W.o. with Kevin Nash and Hollywood Hulk Hogan (for some reason, Scott Hall is not in the game). It was pretty much 2 years of WWE storylines. Create-a-wrestler was also awesome in this one. I remember I made wrestlers out of all my friends, and we would get drunk and beat the shit out of each other in the game. Out of all of the entries in the Smackdown series, I feel this one is the best of the bunch.
