TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING - SOUTHEAST QUEENSLAND for DAMAGING WIND and LARGE HAILSTONES For people in the IPSWICH CITY and parts of the BRISBANE CITY, LOCKYER VALLEY, LOGAN CITY, SCENIC RIM, SOMERSET and TOOWOOMBA Council Areas. Issued at 4:27 pm Wednesday, 14 August 2013. The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 4:30 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on weather radar near Lowood and Greenmount south of Toowoomba. These thunderstorms are moving towards the east southeast. They are forecast to affect Lake Manchester, Fernvale and the area northwest of Cunninghams Gap by 5:00 pm and Rosevale, Harrisville and Wacol by 5:30 pm. Damaging winds and large hailstones are possible with these storms.
