TOPIC--LIBERTY BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB........ He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. Ps. 40:2 Horrible pit and miry clay are symbols of incarceration, a prison house. As we have physical prisons so also do we have spiritual prisons. Many today have found themselves in the devil’s prison of oppression, sickness, sadness, depression, chronic lack and poverty and spiritual blindness. Jesus’ coming was to set the prisoners free. There are four types of prisoners: 1. Prisoners of hope. Zech.. 9:12... 2. Prisoners of the earth. Lam. 3:34-36... 3. Prisoners of sin/devil. 2Tim.2:25-26, 1Tim. 5:24 4. Prisoners of the Lord EPH.3:1, 2Tim.1:8 The blood of the New Covenant is the blood of Jesus, the blood of sprinkling that pulls you out of every pit or prison that the devil, men, situations or circumstances has thrown you in. As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. Zech. 9:11 For many the lure of sin threw them there, for others life threw them there and most don’t know how they got there. Sin has pain and judgments. But thanks be to God, Christ came to set the captives free! Free from punishment; free from bondage; and free from sin that pays, yet in the end destroys. The pleasure of sin is momentary but its punishment is grievous and lasts. (Heb. 11:25) But one thing is sure, repentance will release the blood of Jesus and bring you out. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Lk. 24:47 No repentance….no remission…Repentance leads to the prison doors being opened up and setting you free……… And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Heb. 9:22 The blood of the Lamb breaks prison shackles, sets you free, terminates all judgment and affliction of the pain of sin. As you declare your faith in the blood of Jesus the Lamb of God today, may you enjoy absolute liberty in every area of your life. May every tongue of accusation and condemnation and charges against you and fingers pointing to you be cut off in the name of Jesus Christ. Your judgment is no more. The Lord is in your midst. Your enemy is cast out. You shall see evil no more in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
