TOTAL FREEDOM You can serve God all you care; as long as the devil can still infiltrate, manipulate or retain a significant control over your life, he is fulfilled. As long as your health, family and finance are within his reach, he’s satisfied. Your serving God is not a threat to him as long as you continue to live in your sin and perversion, he is pleased. What most of us call freedom is not exactly as the Lord intended. Many are not really living in freedom but “freebond”, a situation where a considerable part of their lives is still under the control of the wicked. It was the same thing Pharaoh attempted at doing with Israel when they demanded to be free: “then Pharaoh called Moses and said, ‘Go, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be kept back…” (Exodus 10:24 NKJV). The same thing the devil does to the people of God today. He is not necessarily perturbed that you are serving the Lord as long as he could influence and afflict your life at will. He doesn’t give a damn about your zeal, commitment or dedication to the Lord, as long as he could successfully keep you ill, poor, hinder the tranquility of your family and restrict your achievement. Pharaoh knew there’s little the men of Israel could achieve, a limit they could go without their livestock business, so he demanded for control over it. He knew when your family is in disarray, you are also; so he asked them to leave their families behind: “…Go now, you who are men…” (V. 11). That’s contrary to what the Lord meant for them, thus Moses insisted: “…We will go with our young and our old; with our sons and our daughters, with our flocks and our herds…not a hoof shall be left behind…” (Vs. 9 & 26). If you have left anything behind in the hands “Pharaoh”-your spouse, children, health or business- that is not freedom. It’s time to rise up in the spirit of Moses and tell the devil, “Not a hoof shall be left behind…” It’s time to decisively and forcefully take out of the hands of the wicked everything that the Lord has in mind for us; even if it means that the Lord will drown the “Pharaoh”! Not a hoof shall be left behind. Prayer: Dear Father, my Redeemer and Deliverer, I thank You because your plan for my life, just as it was for Israel, is a total freedom, whereby nothing is left to the hands of the enemy. Lord, by the power of Your Spirit, I refuse to leave anything You plan for me to the enemy, but completely destroy every infiltration, manipulation, influence, infliction, affliction and control of the devil from my life, family, health and finance in Jesus name.
