TOTD: I remember constantly checking eBay for the Anchor Bay DVD of this movie and it always being super expensive as it had been out of print for awhile. Then Blue Underground put out a wonderful box set of the four part Blind Dead series that solved that issue. Tombs of the Blind Dead is the first part of that series and is a pretty fun and somewhat creepy movie, thanks in part to the zombie effects. As the story goes, there were these evil knights from the 13th century called Templars that were all about sacrificing people and drinking human blood in order to attain eternal life or something. Eventually I guess people got fed up with them and they were executed and left to the birds to peck out their eyeballs...thus why they are apparently blind. Whats incredibly hilarious about this movie is that the zombies are BLIND and move at a snails pace at all times. How anyone gets killed by these things is mind boggling, but yet they do. And as a result you have a pretty entertaining movie.
