TOUR REVIEW Nice villa and gardens but beware of insecticide! The hotel is located down the bottom of a steep and narrow road (or alleyway to be exact). Rooms were simple, yet elegant and featured all the usual mod-cons including hot water, flat screen LCD TV with cable channels, working desk, wifi and a room heater (but no air-con). Given the mild climate in Dalat, the latter is generally unnecessary but it depends on where you are from and what kind of weather you are used to. I didnt check to see whether the heater also has a cooling function or not, but for me I was actually feeling a little chilly in the morning despite temperatures probably being in the high teens Celcius. The gardens were nicely landscaped and with the bright morning sun on a clear morning was the perfect place to enjoy breakfast - if only the hotel could offer something decent. Unfortunately, they only allowed one simple option, such as bread with jam and some fruit and tea/coffee. My advice would be to see if you can get a discount for opting out of breakfast and have it somewhere else or alternatively, take it but it probably wont fill you up. During the late morning after I had returned from the market I noticed the hotel had hired someone to spray insecticide around the gardens and outside of the buildings. The smell was pretty bad and Id say the whole procedure quite unnecessary given Dalats elevation. For this reason I will be unlikely to stay here in the future as the whole atmosphere was ruined by the fumigation.
