TOURNAMENT FORMAT AND DETAILS The tournament is of a knock-out format with each team guaranteed at least 2 matches. Each team will have a maximum of 9 players. This includes 7 starting players (including Goalkeeper) and 2 rolling substitutes. A match may not start if either team consists of fewer than three players. The match is abandoned if one of the teams has fewer than three players on the pitch. FIXTURES & RESULTS The Organizer will be responsible for generating fixtures for all the matches. All fixtures, results and other notices will be communicated via the website – facebook/paradisefootballtournament and will also be shown at the venue during the Festival. DURATION OF MATCH Games will have 2 halves lasting 20 minutes with a 5 minute break at half time. Games may be shortened to make up for any delays in schedule. Team will be notified prior to the match in case of any changes. In case of a draw the match will be decided by a penalty shootout. This will be a best of 3 penalties followed by sudden death. SUBSTITUTIONS There will be rolling substitutions. A substitution can be made when the ball goes out of play with the referee’s approval. OFFSIDE There is offside rule. GOALKEEPER Goalkeeper cannot score direct goals from goal kicks. Goalkeeper cannot use his hands outside the penalty box. The goalkeeper must not hold the ball longer than 5 seconds in his penalty area. The pass back rule applies. If a goalkeeper picks the ball up with his hands after receiving a pass back from a team mate the other team is awarded an indirect free kick. BALL OUT OF PLAY If the ball goes out of play from sides, a kick in will be awarded. Goals cannot be scored from a kick in directly. FOULS Yellow card: For foul play a player will be excluded from the match for 2 minutes during which time the team has to play with one less player. Red card (match penalty): for serious foul play, a player is excluded from the rest of the match. The team has to play with one less player for the remainder of the match. A red card will only be given for serious foul play, violent conduct or abuse of the referee. The player will be sent off immediately and not be allowed back during the game. No replacement player will be allowed. PLAYER EQUIPMENT All players are required to wear shorts, shoes and the whole team should be wearing same type of Jerseys . No jewelery may be worn during the match. REFEREES They have full authority and discretion to handle any decision. Their decision cannot be challenged and will be final. MISCELLANEOUS Players must bring along their valid identification cards with age-proof document on the day of the tournament for verification purposes. Team Manager/Official/Captain will undertake to submit their team line-up form to the presiding Tournament Official for all matches at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time of play. Teams will concede a walkover, if they fail to turn up 15 minutes before the scheduled time of play. Participant shall comply with these terms and conditions and waives any right to claim ambiguity in these terms and conditions. If, for any reasons a match could not be played, the match may be rescheduled at the discretion of the organizer. The Organizer reserve the right, without refund, or other recourse, to refuse admission to anyone who is found to be in breach of these rules and regulations including if necessary ejecting the ID holders from the stadium
