TRACK TONIGHT ... a record equalling turnout of 22 runners on what was a very cold evening, but thankfully dry and with hardly a breath of wind for once! It was nice to welcome back Steve Johnson, Lorraine Oakman and Gillian Earle for their first appearances for quite a while. Many thanks to Mark Goodman who helped me pace the combined fast/middle group to 5 x 800m reps (400m recovery); where Nick 118 Webb took the honours for the most consistent reps (that is certainly a first!!). There were some consistent reps throughout the group, and well done to Helen Brown and Nicky Wood who posted their quickest miling speeds to date. The slower group ran 5 x 600m reps (with just 200m recovery). Hayley Ranson posted the most consistent set of reps; with Polly Jarvis, Jenny Milnes and Gillian Earle also recording a fine set, using the first rep as a marker and then steadily quickening up for the remaining reps. Because the inside lane is coned off, you are effectively running an extra 10m per lap so I have adjusted the stats accordingly: 4100m ...
