TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Additional lanes will be closed this weekend on I-90 near the Commonwealth Avenue Overpass as part of MassDOT’s ongoing project to rebuild the foundation of the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge. Drivers should reduce speed when traveling through a work zone and should expect delays caused by the additional lane restrictions. These lane closures are in addition to the existing work zone setup, which for the duration of this phase has reduced the Turnpike from the west end of the Prudential Tunnel to the Commonwealth Avenue overpass to three lanes from four. Fri, Jan 16 at 10:00pm-Sat, Jan 17 at 9:00am: the two left lanes in both directions will be closed. Sat, Jan 17 from 9:00am-10:00pm: one lane in both directions will be closed. Sat, Jan 17 at 10:00pm-Sun, Jan 18 at 9:00am: the two left lanes in both directions will be closed. Sun, Jan 18 from 9:00am-10:00pm: one lane in both directions will be closed. Sun, Jan 18 at 10:00pm-Mon, Jan 19 at 5:00am: the two left lanes in both directions will be closed. Effective Monday, standard nightly closures of a single lane will be in place for the remainder of the week.
