TRAFFIC ADVISORY Replacement of damaged expansion joints of Ashram Chowk flyover on Ring Road w.e.f 20.08.2014 PWD will carry out repair of expansion joints of Ashram Chowk Flyover on Ring Road. The expansion joints, as reported by PWD, have worn out and require urgent replacement. Half carriageway width, in one direction from Lajpat Nagar to Sarai Kale Khan, would be closed for general traffic for 30 days i.e. upto 15.09.2014. Thereafter, the same would be opened and the other half carriageway width would be closed for general traffic for next 30 days w.e.f. 16/09/2014. Suggested Routes: a)From Andrews Ganj Chowk: The cars and other smaller category of motor vehicles may take left turn to Bhisham Pitamah Marg – Lodhi Road – under Lodhi flyover and enter Barapullah corridor to reach Sarai Kale Khan. b)From Moolchand crossing: The cars and other smaller category of motor vehicles may take left turn on Ring Road on to Lala Lajpat Rai Marg and take right U-Turn under Lodhi flyover and enter Barapullah to reach Sarai Kale Khan. c)Buses, commercial goods vehicles and other vehicles destined for locations in close vicinity of Ashram, may use the modified carriageway. Advisory traffic signages at appropriate locations have been placed for the guidance of the motorists and adequate traffic staff has been deployed to ensure smooth and uninterrupted flow of traffic. Motorists are advised to follow the diversions and obey instructions of the traffic police.
