TRAFFIC ADVISORY Traffic Arrangements – Full Dress Rehearsal on 23rd January, 2015 Full Dress Rehearsal of Republic Day Parade-2015 will be held on Friday, the 23rd January, 2015. The parade will start at 0950 hrs. from Vijay Chowk and proceed to Red Fort Ground. ROUTE OF THE PARADE Vijay Chowk – Rajpath - India Gate - Tilak Marg - Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg – Netaji Subhash Marg - Red Fort. TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS In order to facilitate the free passage of parade, movement of traffic on certain roads leading to the route of the parade will be restricted as under:- (1) No traffic from Vijay Chowk to India Gate on Rajpath from 0500 to 1230 hrs. (2) No cross traffic on Rajpath from 0930 hrs at Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road, ‘C’-Hexagon. (3) From 1000 hrs.- Traffic on Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Subhash Marg will not be allowed on both directions. However, cross traffic will be allowed as per parade position. Road users are, therefore, requested to plan their journey in advance and avoid the route of parade from 0930 hours to 1200 hours for their own convenience. SUGGESTED ROUTES However, if the journey is unavoidable and road user is inclined to cross the India Gate they are suggested to take the following routes:- NORTH –SOUTH CORRIDOR Ring Road – Ashram Chowk – Sarai Kale Khan – I.P. Flyover – Rajghat – Ring Road From Aurobindo Chowk – Safdarjung Road – Kamal Atatturk Marg – Kautilya Marg – Sardar Patel Marg – Mother Teresa Crescent – roundabout RML – Baba Kharak Sing Marg etc. Prithvi Raj Road – Rajesh Pilot Marg – Subramanian Bharti Marg- Mathura Road etc. EAST- WEST CORRIDOR Ring Road-Bhairon Road- Mathura Road – S. Bharti Marg – Rajesh Pilot Marg - Prithvi Raj Road- Safdarjung Road- Kamal Atatturk Marg- Panchsheel Marg- Simon Bolivar Marg- Upper Ridge Road. Ring Road-Bhairon Road- Mathura Road – Lodhi Road – Aurbindo Marg- Safdarjung Road – Teen Murti Marg –Mother Teresa Crescent- Park Street – Shankar Road – Ring Road. Ring Road- Boulevard Road- Barf Khana Chowk – Rani Jhansi Road- Faiz Road – D.B.Gupta Road. FOR NEW DELHI RAILWAY STATION From South Delhi:- Mother Teresa Crescent –R/A RML Hospital-Baba Kharak Singh Marg-Outer Circus Connaught Place-Chelmsford Road for Paharganj side or Minto Road- Bhavbhuti Marg for Ajmeri Gate. From North Delhi:- R/A Jhandewalan via Rani Jhansi Road- D. B. Gupta Road-Sheela Cinema Road - Paharganj. From East Delhi:- Boulevard Road via ISBT Bridge take Rani Jhansi Road via Jhandewalan – D.B. Gupta Road-Sheela Cinema Road- Paharganj. FOR OLD DELHI RAILWAY STATION (DELHI MAIN ) From South Delhi:- Ring Road- Ashram Chowk-Sarai Kale Khan-Ring Road-Rajghat-Ring Road-Chowk Yamuna Bazar- S.P. Mukherjee Marg-Chhatta Rail-Kauria Bridge. From North Delhi:- Boulevard Road- R/A Mori Gate-Pul Duffrin-S.P. Mukharjee Marg. BUS TERMINATING POINTS Movement of the City Bus Services is curtailed at the following Terminal points;- 1. Krishna Menon Marg 2. Tyagraj Marg 3. Park Street/Udyan Marg 4. Aram Bagh Road (Pahar Ganj ) 5. R/A Kamla Market. 6. Delhi Sachivalaya (IG Stadium) 7 Pragati Maiden (Bhairon Road) 8. Hanuman Mandir 9. Nigam Bodh Ghat 10. Budh Vihar (ISBT) 11 Mori Gate 12 ISBT Sarai Kale Khan INTER STATE BUSES: (I) Buses from Ghaziabad bound for Shivaji Stadium shall take NH-24, Ring Road. (II) All buses coming from Ghaziabad side will be diverted at Mohan Nagar towards Bhopura Chungi for Wazirabad Bridge. (III) All buses coming from Dhaula Kuan side shall terminate at Dhaula Kuan. (IV) All buses coming from Badarpur shall terminate at New ISBT Sarai Kale Khan. (V) All buses coming from NH-24 shall take right turn on Road No. 56 and terminate at ISBT Anand Vihar. METRO TRAIN: Metro Rail Service is available for commuters except Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations remain closed upto 12.30 hrs. HGVs/LGVs HGVs/LGVs will not be allowed between Sarai Kale Khan to I.S.B.T. on 23.01.2015 from 0730 hours till 1330 hours. TSR/TAXIS No TSR and Taxi will be allowed to enter or ply in the controlled / restricted area after 7.00 AM. Traffic police arrangements are for the guidance of the public. Motorists to have patience observe traffic & road discipline and follow directions of Traffic Police personnel. Security Instructions: Invitation card has been issued by name and is not transferable. This should not be transferred to anyone else. Mobile phone will not be allowed in enclosures.
