TRAFFIC ALERT: 88 closed between 51 and Tariff Southbound Route 88 Lane Closure begins Friday Night in Pittsburgh PennDOT District 11 is announcing a southbound lane closure on Route 88 (Library Road) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will begin on Friday night, Nov. 14, weather permitting. Single-lane alternating traffic will occur on Route 88 as the southbound lane will be closed between Route 51 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard) and Tariff Street. Crews will conduct roadway widening from approximately midnight Friday night through noon on Saturday. Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the area. Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting 511PA. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 680 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available by calling 5-1-1, and regional Twitter alerts are available on the 511PA website.
