TRAFFIC ALERT: The southbound I-35E entrance ramp south of Corinth - TopicsExpress

TRAFFIC ALERT: The southbound I-35E entrance ramp south of Corinth Parkway will temporarily be relocated further south of its current location, according to a news release from 35Express. This work will be performed in conjunction with a shift of the southbound mainlanes between Post Oak Drive and Exit 459 scheduled to occur nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30 through Monday, Jan 5. Motorists wishing to access southbound I-35E near Corinth Parkway will continue south on the frontage road to entrance ramp 459 near Meadowview Drive. This new configuration is needed as crews begin to widen I-35E and construct the mainlane bridges that will eventually travel over Corinth Parkway. A new permanent southbound entrance ramp is currently under construction just south of the current ramp and is expected to open February 2015. Please note, due to the holiday, interstate closures will not in be in place between noon Wednesday, Dec. 31 and 10 p.m., Friday, Jan. 2. This work is related to the 35Express project, an expansion of I-35E between US Highway 380 in Denton County and I-635 in Dallas County. All closures are subject to weather conditions and may be postponed, if necessary.
