TRAFFIC OFFENDER ARRESTED & CHARGED - KATOOMBA On Friday evening,about 7.55pm police were patrolling along Victoria St in a marked police sedan when a rider on a trail bike cut in front of them from South St and then proceeded to perform two monos (lifting the front wheel off the ground) before accelerating away to a high speed in the residential area. Police pursued the rider and he was eventually arrested in Rupert Street after stopping his bike. He failed a roadside breath test and at Katoomba Police Station returned a breathalyzer reading of 0.148. The 28 yr old Katoomba man was charged with Mid Range PCA - 2nd & subsequent offence, Drive/Ride Manner Dangerous, Unlicenced Rider & Not display number plate. His drivers licence was immediately suspended and he will appear before Katoomba Local Court on 14/10/2013.
