TRAINEE OPPORTUNITY @ EMBASSY The Embassy is recruiting a trainee for a period of 2 to 3 months between January and July 2015. The trainee will have an opportunity to participate in the daily work of the Belgian Embassy in Cairo, hence acquiring an excellent knowledge and in depth view of Belgian diplomacy, the representation of Belgium abroad and the promotion of Belgian interests worldwide. Duties The trainee will be involved in the daily work and tasks of the Embassy. We expect from the trainee a high degree of independence and motivation to take on a wide variety of tasks, ranging from report drafting to operational duties. Amongst other tasks, the trainee will participate in the follow up of local and regional news, economic diplomacy, public diplomacy and European coordination. Profile • Holder of a Master’s Degree or current Master’s degree student (traineeship as part of study programme) • Citizen of an EU country • Excellent knowledge of English, French and Dutch • Keen interest in international affairs and looking for a practical experience in this field • Motivated and open minded, high degree of independence • Strong analytical and writing skills Conditions • The traineeship is unpaid.
