Chanyeol: As compared to looking at the mirror to practice, experience is more important. Because of the frequent photoshoots, I know very well how attire can affect pose selection. Also, with the two photographers giving tips, I can understand the concept even better. Elle: Which angle do you think you look the best from? Chanyeol: I think its the right side (smile) Elle: There are two sides of any opinion, but there are many positive accounts about you, what do you think is the reason? C: If you put it like that, I will feel embarrassed (showing signs of shyness). Joining variety programmes or activities frequently, I can show natural reactions, some of which are cheerful, some are that of taking care of others, maybe everyone saw those so they have these positive feelings towards about me. Elle: Then, have you heard any criticism from anyone about youself? Chanyeol: Yes, of course… for example, when shooting a reality show, when I think something is funny but the audience might think [you are too much!], I see these sorts of criticism online. Because my friends and I always joke around I tend not to think that much about how others may react. Since then I have been cautious. Elle:Besides anonymous comments online, have the people around you critise you? Chanyeol: People around me? Then no (laughs) Elle: Your character has always been straighforward, taking good care of people, everyday being so happy, do you not get angry when you see something you dislike? Chanyeol: I am the type to always be outgoing in doing things. If I am not outgoing, I will feel very unhappy. My character is very cheerful, so I am not bothered by small things. Elle: At what point can you no longer contain your anger any longer? Chanyeol: I do not like rude and inhuman acts. Looking at such things makes me angry. But I will not lose control of my angry, I will only quietly tell them that what they’re doing is wrong. In my memory, I have never been outwardly angry. Elle: This is really unlike the character of a Sagitarrius1, can people often not tell? Chanyeol: Is it really hard to tell? Hahaha, actually, I am already used to it (Cute expression) Elle: I see that you are always secrety writing songs, what kind of songs do you like to listen to? What is your creative experience? Chanyeol: In terms of composing, I have a lot to say. I like composing songs for other people; I mostly compose at home with a computer, or I use a guitar or piano. Once I’m done, I let the members listen; I really like doing it like this. Elle: Currently, what is your general composing style? Chanyeol: I like to listen to many different types of music; composition is the same. But the type of music I compose the most is Jazz-Pop, around 70% of my songs are Jazz-Pop. Elle: Until now, your performances have always been created for you, other than those, what else do you want to do? Chanyeol: The things I like to do, I am already doing. For example, attending variety shows, filming movies…. the thing I want to do the most now is composing, and then having my composition added to EXO’s own albums. Elle: Are you willing to take on other challenges as well? Chanyeol: I really like trying out fresh and new things; whatever I can do, I want to do. Elle: Then, you are only interested in new things? Chanyeol: My work ethic is “If I started it, I must do it until the end,” or else, I will feel very inadequate and uncomfortable.
