TRANSHUMANISM - SCIENCE - CHURCH - improving the INDIVIDUAL Western Judeo-Christian moral codes strive to condemn and improve human nature. The Church and evolutionary psychology teach us that we are flawed at source, convincing us of our innate selfishness and sinfulness, and of the urgent need to improve ourselves through a program of altruism that serves a society based on the economic model luxury-poverty-charity. Capitalism (like science and religion, an eternal theme), also demands that its workers improve, work faster, harder, and more intelligently, and it will promote any program, scientific or otherwise, that can achieve this. One of its many popular images is the computer/human hybrid promising future, unlimited increases in productivity. Medical propaganda, driven by capitalist interests, demands that we improve our childrens mental health by any means possible, even by drugging them with amphetamines. Improvement is measured by increased productivity. Judeo-Christian jealousy is especially pronounced in the Churchs and sciences condemnation of non-ordinary (altered) states of consciousness. These states threaten the hegemony of profits and prophets by revealing to those who experience them the autonomy and self-sufficiency of human nature.
