TRANSPARENT, ETHICAL AND HONOURABLE GOVERNANCE The time has come for Bahamians to wise up and accept that the two political parties are in a failed and failing state and move on to bigger and much better representation from the DNA! Everything that was outlined in our “Vision 2012 and Beyond” booklet for the betterment of our country shows that if we had the opportunity to implement them, this country would have been far better off. Our Deputy Leader, Mr. Chris Mortimer brought up a salient point in a Press Conference on 26th July 2013. He said the DNA has been calling for Laws which will usher in a new level of transparent, ethical and honourable governance, such as Campaign Finance Reform. If such a law was introduced, there would not have been this fiasco between our Government and Mr. Nygard. Mr. Mortimer’s plea to the Prime Minister and his cabinet is to muster the courage to not only build a bridge to the future, but to begin the task of crossing it..
