TRANSPORT NOTICE FOR NRL PRELIMINARY FINALS A big crowd is expected at Moore Park to see the Sydney Roosters clash with the Newcastle Knights at Allianz Stadium tonight. Motorists not attending the game are advised to avoid the area due to the heavy traffic expected. Special event clearways will also be in place around Moore Park from 3pm until 11pm, so anyone who decides to drive needs to check the signs before parking as vehicles left in these zones will be towed away and fees apply. "Kick off is at 7.45pm and significant traffic delays are expected around Moore Park and with limited parking, public transport is again the best way to get to the game," a spokesperson for the Transport Management Centre said. "Tickets to this game do not include public transport, so you will need a separate ticket. If you have a regular ticket (MyBus, MyMulti or Pensioner Excursion), you’ll be able to use it on these services. If you don’t have one, you’ll have to purchase a Moore Park Link ticket at a train station or a Special Event Bus ticket from Central or Circular Quay stations." "Special event buses to Moore Park will be leaving from Chalmers Street at Central Station between 5pm and 7.40pm and return services will operate for approximately one hour after the match," the spokesperson said. Trackwork is taking place during this event on the Western Line (buses will replace trains between Penrith and Blacktown) and the Blue Mountains Line (buses will replace trains between Lithgow and Blacktown; Bathurst trains will be replaced by buses between Bathurst and Lithgow/Central). In addition, buses will replace Light Rail services between Central and Lilyfield from midnight Friday until 6am Monday while major work continues on the Inner West Light Rail Line. Enjoy the game!
