TRAPPED IN THE LOVE OF MONEY 1Timothy 6:3-10 Money has been an issue from the beginning of time till date. It is one thing that satan can use to trap believers. I have a friend who told me that many of his friends no longer visit him because,he no longer give them much money as he was giving them before that time.I told him, they love your money and not you. I knew of a man whose wife left him when he lost his job. Somehow, God opened his way and his wife came begging to be accepted back but the man refuse, she then went to the pastor who prevailed on the man to take her back, that made the man to be a polygamous today. Most people who love money fall into all kinds of traps. The faithful Christian must decide that money will never be an issue. Paul in 1 Timothy 6:9 says those who want to rich are falling into a temptation and into a trap, and into many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge them into ruins and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all evils, and some people in their desire for it have strayed from the faith and have pierced themselves with many pains. Psalms 15:5 teaches that those who lend out money or accept money to take advantages of others are given to change. The Psalmist says we should not make money the issue in our lives if we want to be righteous.That we should not go into sinful compromise. That is, cheating others, lending money with interest, accepting bribe against the innocent. Jesus plainly taught that no person can serve two matters, God and mamanon (wealth). This problem is now becoming a problem for many christians and their leaders. Money makes ministers to compromise their stand, trim their sermons, and sell out for satan. Most friends who love you because of money are not true friends. There is no one who does not need money, but if the money makes you to compromise your faith, then you are trapped by the love of money and you need to be rescued by Jesus who owns all things. May God give you wisdom in Jesus Name. Activity No cheating of people. Try not to cheat anyone this week.
