To enable these works to be completed (which includes alterations to the track and signalling) it will be necessary to close the line between Heald Green and Manchester Airport station from: Saturday 17 January until Sunday 08 February 2015 inc (3 weeks) During this time FTPE North Trans-Pennine, South Trans-Pennine and Scottish route services will terminate at Manchester Piccadilly. Blackpool route services will be diverted to Wilmslow (calling at Heald Green). Customers should be advised to change at Manchester Piccadilly from where a frequent (every 15 minutes) replacement coach service will be in operation to Manchester Airport.
