TREIBBALL WORKSHOP February 8th, 2015 Sunday 9am-1pm Location: 31100 NE Fernwood Road, Newberg, OR Working Spots $85.00 / Auditing $40.00 TREIBBALL (pronounced Try-ball) is a new dog sport invented in Germany by “Jan Nijboer”. It is a positive-reinforcement competition sport for dogs of all breeds and ages who love to play games, herd or who just need a job! In Treibball the dog pushes large exercise balls into a goal with direction from the handler. Communication between the human and canine partners is the true essence of this game. The dog learns the key commands of targeting, orientation, impulse control, drive and distance work. Once in the game the handler can give hand signals or verbal cues. The dog uses his nose or shoulder to “drive” or “push” 8 balls into a goal in the allotted time. Valley Dog Sports LLC is pleased to host this workshop featuring Lisa Wisdom of Wags N Wisdom Dog Training. Lisa and her two dogs attended the AMERICAN TREIBBALL ASSOCIATION training seminar in March 2014 and she is now certified to teach, train and judge the new sport.
