TREMENDOUS NEWS! We rescued a momma dog from the shelter yesterday who had spent the previous two days giving birth to dead puppies. She was running a very serious fever of 105F and her uterus is dangerously infected. She even passed out during X-rays yesterday. This morning her temperature has lowered, she is much more alert, much nicer and ready for surgery to remove her uterus. I really thought we might lose her last night.
