TRIBUTE - Thierry Henry The announcement of Thierry Henrys - TopicsExpress

TRIBUTE - Thierry Henry The announcement of Thierry Henrys retirement comes with a tinge of sadness but an acceptance that time always wins out. Henrys best football is without a doubt, some of the best individual football ever seen. Lock that stuff up, store it in a vault and bust it out to show your loved ones 20 years from now. He will be predominantly remembered as an Arsenal club legend, winning 2 Premier League Titles and 3 FA Cups with the Gunners before moving onto Barcelona and obtaining 2 La Liga Titles and a Champions League title in 2009 amongst other silverware. He is without a doubt one of, if not the greatest English Premier League player to have ever played the game. My favourite Thierry Henry moment is seen on the attached video below. It is not him at the peak of his powers wearing the number 14 for Arsenal, but it is him returning to Arsenal in his beloved number 12 in front of his fans for the first time since the club moved from the 42000 capacity Highbury to the 60000+ capacity Emirates Stadium. The fans are delirious. The emotion of his return can be seen on every Arsenal supporters face. The rejoice when he steps on to the pitch and the delirium when he scores the winning goal against Leeds United encapsulates every positive bead of emotion to a neutral fan. Its one of the eternal magic moments of the FA Cup 3rd Round. Congratulations Thierry Henry on a remarkable career, you are a one of a kind. -AR- https://youtube/watch?v=RXdcfEnLHos
