TRIBUTE | A special tribute will be presented to longtime celebrated attorney, Sir Michael Berry, Esq. A graduate of Detroit College of Law with an LLB and Juris Doctorate Degree, he is one of the pillars of the Lebanese American community. The dynamic lawyer served as Chairman of the Wayne County Road Commission, which resulted in naming the Michael Berry Terminal at Detroit Metropolitan International Airport, a project to which he lent incalculable support in 1974 as it became one of the busiest and most important airports in the world. A Distinguished Alumnus, he generously endowed a scholarship at Michigan State University Law School. He was awarded the National Order of Cedar by the President of the Republic of Lebanon, and is the recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and Danny Thomas Award in recognition of outstanding efforts in furthering the goals of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
