TRICARE BENIFICIARY PHONE SCAM: A telephone phishing scam has surfaced that may affect TRICARE beneficiaries. The callers are trying to sell medical supplies (durable medical equipment, pain cream, etc.). Beneficiaries should not give any personal identifiable information (PII) such as birth date, social security number, or banking information to unknown sources. TRICARE does not call beneficiaries to offer services or ask for PII. If you get one of these calls, contact TRICARE South Region at 800-444-5445. Information on reporting fraud is available at tricare.mil/fraud.
