TRIED AND TRUE GREAT MILDEW REMOVER RECIPE: Wayne has been using this recipe for years. It requires not scrubbing at all. He just sprayed the gable on the end of our house. By the time he finished this, it was time to return to his beginning area and hose it down with clear water. Now elbow grease involved at all. MILDEW REMOVER 3 Qts. water 1 Qt. common household bleach ¼ Cup maximum of liquid "dishwasher" detergent (ammonia free) Mix above and pour into spray canister. Apply solution liberally and allow to set for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse. The bleach actually kills the mildew. The detergent helps emulsify any mildew and dirt to aid in removal. The liquid detergent used in a "dishwasher" is best since it will not foam like regular dish or laundry detergent.
