TRIUMPH, IN WORD, DEED, & POWER Jesus had to be filled with the power of the Holy Ghost to face the battles that He was going to have with the enemy. We also need the Spirit of God to overcome the very trying of our faith in God. Jesus had already been battling with the devil for forty days and the devil came with a full arsenal at his weakest point. His body needed substance, without food for forty days, yet the Word sustained him, protected him, and gave him the ability to stand against all that he faced. We need the power of God within our lives, we need the Holy Ghost within us. The devil showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moments time. This is the very extent of our life and we also know that it shall also end. There is a beginning and an end as sure as the Lord is our Author & Finisher of our faith. The devil tempts us with the power in this world. The ability to obtain things through whatever means honest or dishonest, it yields the same power. Just as it was presented to Jesus it also gets presented to us. Are we willing to accept the cost of what it will take to accept it? The deceptions are great upon our lives and our worship is to be focused on the One who is the Creator of all. We have the authority in Christ Jesus to command Satan to get behind us, for he is not worthy to leads us, for God alone is worthy of all honor, glory, & worship, our Saviour. So now that it is known unto us the power that we have been given, the devil tempts us with the pride that we are able to do all things. Therefore, it is ok to do a little of this or that, for the Lord will keep us in his arms. It is written in his Word: Rom 6:15 ¶What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Praise be to God for the power of His Spirit. We are able to be delivered by grace through the obedience of His Word. Time and time again, the Lord prepares us for the battles that we face. Let us remain faithful in the very trying of our faith, for we are overcomers in Christ Jesus our Lord & Saviour. Amen Father God in Jesus name we ask thee to enable us to hear the prompting of thy Spirit to proclaim the very Word which has given unto us life. Quicken and settle our spirit within Thee, Jesus. Thank you, Lord, for this day given and for thy Word which delivers us from the hands of the enemy. Amen Luk 4:1 ¶And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Luk 4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. Luk 4:3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. Luk 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Luk 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. Luk 4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. Luk 4:7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. Luk 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Luk 4:9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: Luk 4:10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: Luk 4:11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Luk 4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Luk 4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. KJV
