TRIVIA: Ka-Valenz... ALAM NYO BA? POLO National High School History.. HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL Polo National High School (PNHS) started in 1969 as an annex of the Valenzuela Municipal High School. With a handful of teachers and students, classes were held at the Zyrsa Building, an old, all-wood structure situated in a vacant lot along the Palasan Road some 800 meters away from the town proper. With the benifits of secondary education within reach of the youth of barangays Polo, Pablacion and Palasan, the student population grew by leaps and bounds. In 1985, the school was relocated from the old Zyrsa Building due to its condemnable condition to the compound of the Pio Valenzuela Elementary School along M.H. del Pilar St. Palasan Road, where it is now permanently located. The memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the school and the city government granted the former theexclusive and permanent use of an area about 4,450 square meters at the back of the elementary school compound. In 1988, the school became a full-pledged independent national school from being an annex of the Valenzuela Municipal High School through legislation and an administrative fiat.
