TRIVIA: The famous stripper song written by David Rose was not destined to become a hit; it happened by accident. Written in 1958 the tune was set aside and pretty much forgotten. In 1962 Rose recorded Ebb Tide as an A-Side of a 45 single. His record company wanted to get the record on the market quickly, but they discovered they had no B-side for it. Rose was away at the time, so an MGM office boy was given the job of going through some of Roses tapes of unreleased material to find something that would work; he liked The Stripper and chose it as the flip side for the record. The Stripper turned out to be the hit, charting #1 in July of 1962. --The Betty Boop cartoon segments are from 1932 to 1934.
