TROOPER UPDATE: Trooper came out of ICU just after lunch yesterday. He was taken out of the incubator and the drip was removed. He was monitored for the afternoon and it was decided he could continue his recovery at home. He had numerous tests while in hospital and they still are not sure exactly what was wrong with him but he is on treatment for a few viruses to cover some bases and provide him with some sort of immunity. The vets are still concerned that he is a lot smaller than his siblings and think that, aside from his structural abnormalities, that there could be some underlining conditions that may affect him on his growth journey. He is a true example of poor, unplanned breeding and possibly from the lack of nutrients the mother received while pregnant. He is the victim of an uncaring individual and we were lucky to get him and his siblings when we did. Trooper is a fighter and a real character and he will be given every chance at leading a normal, happy life. Check out the CUTENESS OVERLOAD in his photos attached!!
