TROPICAL DISTURBANCE SUMMARY | 0800 AM 0000Z SUN 16 JUNE 2013 Two (2) active Tropical Disturbances being monitored by ManilaTC in the Western Pacific Basin UPDATE 6 | #WP18 (Invest 99W) -- At 2AM today WP18 was located at 21.1°N 109.4°E… in the Gulf of Tonkin, about 50 km Southeast of Beihai -- Maximum winds within the disturbance have WEAKENED to 15 KTS or 25KPH -- Drifting West-Northwest across the Southern China coast -- Due to proximity to land, this system is no longer expected to become a Tropical Cyclone. -- ManilaTC FURTHER DOWNGRADES WP18 to FAIR potential of development into a Tropical Cyclone within the next 24 hours, with 39% chance. UPDATE 3 | #WP19 (Invest 91W) -- At 2AM today WP19 (91W) was located at 10.0°N 129.1°E… about 395 km East-Southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar... or 400 km East-Northeast of Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte -- Maximum winds within the disturbance remain at 15 Knots or 25 KPH -- Drifting Northwest along the Visayas-Bicol coastlines -- Current model forecasts indicate WP19 (91W) to develop into the next Tropical Cyclone east of Visayas, to track just East of Luzon. -- ManilaTC has WP19 with MEDIUM potential of development into a Tropical Cyclone within the next 24 hours, now with 57% chance.
