TRUE STORY: I hired a Bartender to do an event for us from another company. The person was going to arrive an hour late. The client cancelled the bartender. The person showed up at their home (late..didnt work) and DEMANDED TO BE PAID! The client paid them and wanted to be reimbursed by me to pay them. I refunded the client their retainer and asked them to write what happened to them so I can forward that to the other company. It wasnt a large amount. The reason I did that was I wanted to give the other company an opportunity to correct something that went wrong with THEIR employee. Now here comes the part where the Facebook philosophers get to weigh in on...I refunded the client the retainer and the money they gave to the person who demanded payment but didnt work! At the end of the day when something would go wrong it would be MY NAME that would get dragged through the mud...and to see that the other company didnt even offer to split, apologize, sympathize, or own up to ANY PART OF IT...LETS YOU KNOW WHERE YOU STAND WITH PEOPLE!!!
