TRUE THERAPY: THE FIRE OF LOVE Friend, you can scream and shout all you need to, you can weep and wail like a baby, you can go through the most profound despair, you can collapse to the ground in exhaustion, you can feel volcanic anger surging through you, experience waves of frustration, quake with the terror of death. I will not try to fix you, teach you, give you answers, play expert or guru, or manipulate your experience in any way. I will do nothing at all, except silently trust the intelligence of the moment. I will hold you where you are, embrace your first-hand, original experience, dignifying it, accepting it, staying with it, going through what you need to go through with you. I will not turn away. My presence is your presence, there are not two presences at all, just as two fires are really One, and not even One, only fire. Great healing can begin when we meet in the fire of life, at the heart of the cross, where time and space end, which is love beyond reason.
