TRY THIS This variation of the cable bicep curl is a great finishing exercise. In order to maximise the highest potential of growth we have to target our muscles through its completed range of motion. This exercise allows you to deeply stretch the bicep heads, targeting the short head of the bicep more and focusing on working the biceps from the insertion up. Creating a fuller, longer look to the muscle bellies. Obviously where a muscle inserts and orginates into the tendon is out of our control and power, thats genetic but what we can ensure is that we are working the muscle through its entire ROM and not aiding its shorter Insertions points if you have them, by performing half reps. In order to process we have to assess. Take hold of the Dhandles attached to the cables set at the bottom position. Stand directly in the centre of the cables and parallel to them. Keep your elbows out and inline with your side delts. Allow the weight to take your biceps into a deep stretch then slowly contract by curling your hands to your shoulders. Squeeze hard at the peak contraction. Then lower slowly back into a fully stretched position. Complete as many reps as possible untill you reach failure of form and struggle to hold at the top. Then perform partial reps to fatigue the muscle further and put more stress to the insertion of the bicep heads. Here I alternated each side so i could forcus of cotracting and fatiguing each side without failing with my technique. This also allows the side thats resting to become fully stretch whilst the other side is performing the rep. Then drop the weight down and continue to rep out to failure but this time curl both sides together. This angle of the biceps is rarely hit and position of the gravitational pull and the fact its on cables creates a stretch thats is often neglected and a constant tension on the bicep heads. Train hard, Train smart. Train in BULLMODE
