TSA 516 Mixed Media Mixed media is a visual art form that allows the artist to use a variety of mediums to create an art piece. Exploration of a range of materials and techniques is emphasized in this course. Students can combine drawing, painting and collage with a wide range of processes such as relief printing, frottage, marbling, stenciling, sponging on paper, wood, and canvas, etc. Students will organize and assemble the project pieces to create a series of mixed media works combining a variety of different papers and effects during this course. This class is designed for beginners and those wishing to experiment with new methods of working with texture and combinations of traditional and non-traditional materials.
