TUESDAY: Everyone keeps telling me to rest more....alright already, I am resting today & lounging around my comfy home. Dishes are done; sidewalk is shoveled; guess it will be a laundry day & I will make my cranberry sauce for the family dinner on Thursday. Another birthday celebratory day as the BIG ONE approaches....so many things to think about when it comes to really saying THANKS to the Lord without resorting to the usual laundry list of things for which we are told to be thankful....... our American society grows more spiritually shallow by the day. The adoration of the private ego/self creates such a bloated persona that this really allows no room for any other BEING, most especially no room for GOD & HIS WORSHIP. It is now the WORSHIP OF ME, THE ULTIMATE IDOLATRY! This is the foundation for the continued degradation of most anything sacred in our society - especially our communal celebrations like New Years Day, Decoration Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Christmas and Easter, Halloween and Thanksgiving - not to mention regular attendance at Sunday worship (which means EVERY SUNDAY since the Third Commandment does NOT say Keep holy most Sabbath days!). See what happens when you get me all rested up.....
