TUESDAY MORNING TRUTH Can Your Faith Withstand the Storm? In the natural, a flash flood is a rapidflooding of LOW-LYING areas: washes, rivers, dry lakes and basins. It may be caused by heavy rain associated with a severe thunderstorm, hurricane, tropical storm, or meltwater from ice or snow flowing over ice sheets or snowfields. It comes in without extensive warning and can cause quite a bit of damage to the areas it strikes. It even brings, to often, tragedy. In the spiritual, life can be full of challenges and storms, often times sweeping in on us like a flash flood. These flash floods of life causes rapid flooding in areas of your life or people who are weak or have what I call LOW-LYING FAITH. These life floods bring with them excessive worry, doubt, defeat, hopelessness, helplessness, anxiety, fear, sickness, disease and despair. You dont have to be a spiritual casualty. If you have been hit by lifes storms, at a time when your faith was laying low, you know what Im talking about, it is something you never want to experience again. For those of you who have yet to experience it or take notice of it, As the voices of wisdom always said if you havent had a storm in your life, just wait a little while. While you are waiting, increase your faith to avoid being washed up or washed away. Do you have low lying faith? Can your faith withstand the storm? Will you be washed away by the next flash flood? If you dont know for sure, work on it. Increase your faith. Build it up. Trust Him wholly. I assure that when you do, God will help you remain standing even in the biggest of storms.
