TUESDAY NIGHT ICU PROGRESS REPORT: Rhondas fever has come down to 101.5 from 103. PTL!!!! They are using a digitally controlled cooling blanket draped over her body to bring her body temperature down to normal. Thus far it is working. Hallelujah. I just spoke with her at 9 PM to tell her good night and she was more alert than this afternoon. Her eyes were open. I told her I loved her and she tried to mouth those words back to me, although it is difficult to do with a breathing tube down your throat. I asked her if she was feeling better. She nodded her head Yes. I confirmed with a yes in sign language and she again nodded yes. Our prayers are being heard. Lets not grow weary in well doing. Lets keep the prayers and the praises going upward, giving all the glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for every prayer of remembrance. Rachel Wilson, her husband David Wilson, Tree Mills and his fiancee Meegs Amato are to meet me in Rhondas ICU room tomorrow morning at 5 AM for Tres farewell as he departs tomorrow morning from the Charlottesville airport for Chicago and then on to East Asia for his one year internship with Cru. Today has been a very emotional day for all of us as we have been preparing for Tres departure. We are more keenly aware than ever of the sacrifices made by missionaries to leave father and mother and family to answer the call to take the gospel of Christ to the ends of the earth. Your prayers for us as a family are greatly appreciated. Hannah was here earlier in the day but has returned to our home in Lexington where she is staying tonight with my mother, Ruth Creel. My step-dad, Tim Creel is here with me. Great grace to your family and you!
