TUESDAY: NO schedule whatsoever....time to relax after our 4 day convocation in Pontiac, MI. Time for a lot of prayer, renewal of friendships, and planning for the future ministry of our Order - to support the Palestinian Christian community in as many ways as needed - this being the exact directive of the last several Popes and Pope Francis too. CLICK ON THE PICTURE FOR INFO. Got to enjoy some awesome colors of Autumn both driving up to Pontiac and on my return. God willing, I will lead 13 people on a Pilgrimage to Israel to visit the sites sacred to our Lord - just three weeks from today! Your prayers for a successful spiritual journey would be appreciated. This will be my 4th Pilgrimage to Israel and probably my last, since I have now completed my term as the Pilgrim Master for the Order and a new very competent Master has been appointed. Never did I ever dream I would see Israel - much less four times! So enjoy this wonderful Fall weather.....got a kick out of a rookie weatherman now on Channel 13 in Rockford who seems amazed at how temps bob up and down during this season. CLUE: this weather is the same as it is Spring - up, down, cloudy, sunny - it is the very nature of the season as we adjust from summer to winter and vice versa! Dont they teach science in the schools anymore?? Need some recommendations from my peanut gallery re a new Garmin type thingy to buy for my car. My current one is an older model which can no longer be updated and it is giving some incredible directions these days so I need to get something new. So WHAT do you like? (Actually I use it mostly to find addresses of people I need to see or visit. I usually use a map/atlas for the bigger trips and most of those I know by heart at this stage. Imagine that, someone using a real map!)
