TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2014 WHOOPS: A spokesman for Attorney General Eric Holder named Brian Fallon made a phone call, and thought he had reached the office of Democrat Representative Elijah Cummings of Maryland, the ranking Democrat on the House committee investigating the IRS scandal. The IRS scandal is about whether or not the IRS targeted conservative groups for audits because of their political beliefs. Fallon asked if The Justice Department could get some help from the Democrats on the committee in leaking some information to selected Democrat friendly reporters so Democrats could comment on some documents before the Republicans on the committee had a chance to look at them. The trouble is Fallon was calling the office of Republican committee chairman Darryl Issa and spilled his conspiratorial intent before he realized that he was talking to the people he was trying to screw over. It sounds like the Justice Department is not serious about investigating the behavior of the IRS, doesnt it? What do you think?
