TUESDAY TRIVIA Pride in our Students! ~MIHS was ranked No. 5 of the Washington state high schools by the Puget Sound Business Journal. ~MIHS was also named 159th best high school in the country according to Newsweek. Its 2014 Rankings highlights schools that do the absolute best job of preparing students for college. It is a significant jump from last year. In 2013, MIHS ranked 855th. (thats a tremendous jump!) ~The graduating class of 2014 earned the best composite ACT score for the MISD at least five years. ~4 of our young scholars from MIHS have been named National Merit Semifinalists and 19 more have been named National Commanded students. “It takes an entire community to create an educational system this special. Our mission begins when students enter our elementary schools and continues through middle and high school until students are prepared for college and their careers, ” said Superintendent Dr. Gary after recent exciting news for the Mercer Island School District.
