My snippet below is from my novel in two parts, Salsa Dancing with Pterodactyls. This selection comes from Part II, Chapter Five: ...Laurie stood at the end of the wood-planked front porch, her arms jammed against her chest, leaning into her husband’s embrace. All her arguments had been wasted. All her good sense and practical advice was rejected. “You don’t know him,” was all Emily said to defend her decision to return to San Francisco with David and Miguel. “Emily,” Laurie sighed. “He can’t take care of you.” Emily smiled and shrugged. “Okay, so he’s got opening a can of chicken noodle soup down to a fine art and he thought of it and I didn’t but that doesn’t mean he’s the answer.” Emily continued to pack her overnight case and garment bag. “What was his excuse for not answering your messages? Why did he leave you in the dark – for all that time? Nothing for weeks?” “We haven’t talked about it.” “Then why on earth are you going back with him?” “You don’t know him, Laurie.” Thank you for visiting :D
