TULSA FAM: Very Dope Event, Very Dope Performers, VERY DOPE CAUSE!!!! LION KING Cast Members for Greenwood Cultural Center! Support, Share, Attend! South African cast members, from Disney’s THE LION KING, will perform a benefit concert of African stories at The Greenwood Cultural Center on Monday June 24th at 6:00pm, in support of The Greenwood Cultural Center. The concert, entitled SIMUNYE, meaning “we are one” in Zulu, will feature performances of both traditional and modern African children’s stories and music in the authentic South African style. The vocalists and storytellers for the event are Tshidi Manye, Portia Magwaza, Vusi B. Mhlongo, Sihle Ngema, Ntomb’Khona Dlamini, and Electra Weston. The benefit concert will occur at the Greenwood Cultural Center (322 North Greenwood, Tulsa, OK 74120). As seating is limited, it is advised to reserve or buy tickets in advance at the Greenwood Cultural Center main office or by calling 918.596.1020.
