TURN UP THE HEAT Please...contact your lawmakers, or any government officials in the country who have Bakken oil trains rolling through their turf, using the message below...or your own words. Include firefighters, newspapers, and etc. in your message sending...and, of course, you can always express your own opinion to our eminent members of the North Dakota Industrial Commission. # Governor/Mayor/Alderman; Its very simple. If Bakken crude is stabilized, an age old standard practice of the oil industry, the oil trains will NOT explode in (location), or anywhere else. The Bakken oil producers in North Dakota need to install stabilizing equipment, to remove the natural gas liquids (NGLs), such as heptane, pentane, methane, propane, butane, ethane, isobutane, H2S, and, so on, from the crude oil, before filling the tanker cars. It will cost the oil companies money, so they deny the need, and refuse to do the right thing. The North Dakota Industrial Commission has the power to mandate stabilization, but they have an overtly cozy relationship with the oil industry. NDs so-called regulators are speaking the same language, and using the same diversionary tactics, as big oil and their lobbyists. Its shameful. Not conditioning. Not standardization. No half measures. STABILIZATION, with real stabilizers. They need convincing that American & Canadian lives are more important than corporate profit margins, so give them hell.
